Introducing the Pup Scouts
January marks our 6th year in business, and we are celebrating the New Year by launching our new Pup Scouts program. We are so excited to share a brand-new way to celebrate your dog’s training journey at Urban Pawsibilities, by selling custom UP bandanas (only $15!) for dogs enrolled in our training programs. Purchasing a bandana will enable you and your dog to collect FREE iron-on, program-specific badges that you can earn by completing the requirements for each of our seven training programs—like merit badges.

Once you receive your bandana, you can start earning badges. To earn your badges, take a video of yourself performing these skills and send it to us HERE. Examples for video submissions are linked below. Here are the requirements to earn your first seven badges:
Green Dog Badge
Dog must demonstrate the following behaviors on a verbal or hand signal cue:
Sit
Touch
Settle on a mat

Recall Badge
Dog must demonstrate the following behaviors on a verbal or hand signal cue:
Recall from 30ft away
Recall past a distraction that is 20ft away
Recall away from a distraction from 20ft away
Independence Badge
Dog must demonstrate the following behaviors:
Remain calmly tethered for 3mins
Remain calmly behind a gate for 3mins
Remain calmly behind a closed door for 3mins
Anti-jumping Badge
Dog must demonstrate the following behaviors:
Remain in a sit or down while a person pets the dog
Perform a chin rest
Dog reorients to handler as a person approaches
Loose Leash Walking Badge
Dog must demonstrate the following behaviors:
Heel for 30ft
Respond to “leave it” cue as you heel past a distraction
Cue touch and release to go sniff
Reactivity Badge
Dog must demonstrate the following behaviors:
Look at and away from a trigger
Perform an emergency U-turn away from a trigger
Jump up on something while a trigger passes
Good Dog Badge
Dog must demonstrate the following behaviors:
Heel up to a person and calmly greet
Heel past a dog
Down/Stay near a distraction while you walk 10ft away
