About Urban Pawsibilities
Urban Pawsibilities is a dog training company, founded in Jan. 2020, by Emma Brent, CPDT-KA, and co-owned by Meaghan Summerbell-Burggraf, KPA-CPT, CPDT-KA, et. al, that aims to help people and dogs across the Portland Metro area create a dialogue where needs are met, expectations are clear, and behavior is reliable. We do this by providing a variety of services, including: private lessons, day training, board and train, puppy socials and group classes. We serve all dogs, but specialize in puppy and adolescent socialization/training and reactivity rehabilitation.
About Dog Trainer Emma Brent, CPDT-KA, FFCT
Emma is a born and raised Portlandian with a love of learning and a passion for animals. She is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA), and a Fear Free Certified Trainer. Emma specializes in puppy socialization and development, and reactivity rehabilitation. Prior to Urban Pawsibilities, Emma worked as a daycare member and dog trainer at North Portland Club K-9 (where Meaghan was her manager). She also recently graduated from the Living and Learning with Animals, an online Applied Behavior Analysis course, with Dr. Susan Friedman, a renowned behavior science expert.
About Dog Trainer MEAGHAN SUMMERBELL BURGGRAF, KPA CTP, CPDT-KA, FFCT, CTDI, CGC EVALUATOR
Meaghan is an all around Dog-Guru; raised by Akitas, she has been prepped for a life in the animal training industry since birth. With a background in daycare, boarding & training, she has worked with thousands of dogs over the last 7 years, with hundreds of dog breeds and mixes. Her training experience extends to cats, horses, goats, and more! She is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed, a Karen Pryor Academy Clicker Training Partner, a Certified Trick Dog Instructor, a CGC evaluator and a Fear Free Certified Trainer. Meaghan is working towards becoming a certified canine behavior consultant and certified separation anxiety trainer (CSAT). She finds working with fearful dogs especially rewarding.

We are huge fans of Meaghan and Emma. Ludo, my mini Aussie, has worked with both of these talented folks since he was a tiny little pup. We did quite a few private socialization sessions with Meaghan and puppy kindergarten with Emma. At this point, I will take any class they offer. They are both amazing instructors--we have been so lucky to work with them. Looking forward to our next daystay at Urban Pawsibilities.

Emma is amazing. She worked with my pup, Puddles, on basic skills, loose leash walking and leash reactivity. She not only helped build Puddles' confidence and trust, but my own - if it wasn't for Emma, I never would've felt comfortable letting Puddles off leash in an open dog park (eg 1000 acres). She really knows how to read dog body language and work on meeting dogs where they are in the process, without overwhelming them. My bond with Puddles has definitely grown stronger thanks to Emma!

Tricky Dog: $300, 6 weeks, for reactive dogs with no training history
Triggered Dog Barkour & Tricks: $300, 6 weeks, for reactive dogs whoโve taken at least one reactive dog series at UP or a similar class.
Daycare:
Daystays: $90 per day, packages available, VIP dog daycare that includes training, enrichment toys, and trainer led playgroups
Daytraining: $155 per day, packages available, VIP dog daycare that includes multiple training sessions, enrichment toys, and trainer led playgroups with detailed video & written instructions for at home practice
Private Training Lessons:
In-site private training: $145 per hour, packages available, private lessons to address basic training or behavior concerns to produce a successful outcome
In your home private training: $175 per hour, packages available, trainer approval required
